
*Olmstead is a two-time Patriot League Men’s Lacrosse Scholar-Athlete of the Year, 2022 Senior CLASS Award Finalist, 2022 CoSIDA Academic All-America Second Team and Academic All-District First Team honoree. He finished fourth in the League in assists per game (1.94). *The two-time All-Patriot League selection at attack led the Greyhounds in points (56) and assists (31) while finishing fourth on the team in goals (25). He graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2021 with a bachelor’s degree in international business and global studies with a 3.926 GPA. *Olmstead completed his MBA in May with a 3.98 GPA. The award is presented annually to one female and one male Patriot League student-athlete. Navy (2007) and Colgate (1994) also swept the awards.


Bucknell accomplished the feat most recently in 20. The graduate student attackman helped the Greyhounds become the fourth school in Patriot League history to sweep the year-end scholar-athlete of the year honors, with women’s lacrosse’s Elli Kluegel receiving her second-straight female scholar-athlete of the year honor.

Olmstead is the fifth different Loyola Maryland student-athlete to claim Patriot League Scholar-Athlete of the Year honors, joining Joe Fletcher (men’s lacrosse, 2014), Elli Kluegel (women’s lacrosse, 2021-22), Franz Rassman (men’s basketball, 2016) and Kristen Yanchoris (women’s lacrosse, 2019). – Loyola Maryland men’s lacrosse student-athlete Aidan Olmstead was named the 2022 Patriot League Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year following a vote conducted by the athletics communications staff from each of the League’s member institutions.
